Sling Library Sessions

The Sling Library by The Parenting Collective CIC

We have face to face sling library sessions across the Greater Manchester area including, Stretford, Stockport, Prestwich and at the Trafford Centre. The majority of these sessions are drop-in sessions so an appointment is not required but we do ask where possible if you can book a *Free ticket on our booking site to enable us to judge what numbers to expect at each session. Currently our Firswood and Trafford Centre sessions are by appointment only. For more on library sessions please click HERE
These sessions will allow us to discuss your options and try a sling on with your baby. A consultant will demonstrate how to use the sling and then allow you to try for yourself. You are more than welcome to bring your own sling along for support, we charge an £8 fee for this service.
Pregnant families are very welcome to come along and discuss their options and can make use of our stretchy hire scheme for those around 36 weeks gestation.
Please arrive at these sessions no later than 30 minutes before the end of the session to ensure we have time to see you and help you with your sling needs.

Subsidised Stretchy Wrap Hire

For babies under the age of 6 weeks we offer a heavily subsidised stretchy wrap or close caboo.
Stretchy wraps are a long piece of stretchy material that you wrap around yourself and secure before inserting the baby into the fabric to carry them, we also stock Close Caboos which are essentially a pre-tied stretchy wrap. These styles of wraps are perfect for newborns and babies under 4 months of age although there is no real upper age limit. However, they can feel a bit uncomfortable once the baby gets a bit bigger.
This style of sling is only suitable for parent facing.
Both the wrap and the Caboo are covered under this scheme.
For pregnant Families looking to make use of this scheme, you can come and collect the sling from one of our drop in sessions once you are around 36 weeks pregnant. If you are carrying multiples, have a planned section or any other concerns regarding waiting until 36 weeks please contact us and we can make the necessary arrangements around your circumstances.
The 4 week hire will essentially begin once you inform us of your baby's birth. 4 weeks hire - £12

We can support you with your own sling either at one of our drop-in library sessions, mini consultations or private in home consultations.

Additional discount will be applied if you hire more than one sling or a sling and a weather cover together.

We regularly sell our library stock so please enquire if there is a sling you are interested in. We are also registered retailers for most brands so please do get in touch if you would like more information on what slings we retail.
